40 to 40 Project - Sep 2009
I have decided to celebrate the fact that I will soon be turning 40 and have a bit of fun as well as a challenge. To do this I will be counting down and shooting a new picture every day for the 40 days until I turn 40. And just to make it more challenging, I'm giving myself a max time of just 40 min out of my normal day to do this. So it's 40 to 40 in 40.

Creative Shooting - Sep 2008
The great thing about photography is that every job is different, so requires creative thinking to suit each challenge. On top of this, you also have to deliver what the client wants.
Recently I was taking photos at Capenhurst uranium enrichment plant, near Ellesmere Port in Cheshire, which is currently undergoing decommissioning.
Whilst lining up the next shot, looking through the lens, I am presented with an armed police officer. So what did I do? Well I shot him of course. Thankfully, the commission was to take images for the Civil Nuclear Constabulary (CNC) of their new uniforms for their officers, which will be used for PR and promotion of the CNC.
This meant being creative and trying to produce shots to their style of brand, which then can be used in a number of different situations. To do this we photographed a male and female officer in various situations they may face whilst performing their duties, so everything from patrolling the area, to searching vehicles and talking to people they meet.
I’m sure the officers enjoyed being models for the day and I know we ended up with some great shots for the CNC
